PineSolutions Scoops Business Of The Year Award
PineSolutions is celebrating winning the Barclays Commercial Business of the Year Award at the EDP Business Awards on October 9.
The online furniture company, based in Norwich, has witnessed unprecedented annual organic growth, selling from a range of pine, oak and painted furniture to more than 26,000 customers across the UK and Ireland.
Competing with all the short-listed businesses for the awards, PineSolutions was selected after recently being featured in The Sunday Times Track 100, seeing a rise in sales of 58% and boasting a customer satisfaction rating of 94%.
The company is carbon neutral thanks to an offsetting scheme whereby customers are invited to contribute 50 pence per order, with the funds going toward a reforestation scheme.
Kevin Johnson, Managing Director, for Pine Solutions, said: “For PineSolutions to win the Barclays Commercial Business of the Year Award is a fantastic achievement. The award provides acknowledgement to all the hard work from the team. 2009 has been a really important year for us and we have been in a position where we were fortunate enough to see continuous growth; it’s been challenging and very exciting, but we have successfully stayed ahead of our competitors by cornering a niche in the market.”
Commenting on winning the award, the judges said: “Pine Solutions is the standard bearer for a new type of company in East Anglia – an entrepreneurial fast-growing business that is putting technology and the internet to good use.”
